The development of priority emerging and transformative technologies using local capacities is one of the special missions that Ruhollah Dehghani, the vice president of science, technology and knowledge-based economy, has assigned to Seyed Mohammad Karbasi as the secretary for the development of connectivity and communication technologies headquarters.

In this order, it is addressed to Karbasi: In view of his competence, expertise and experience, and at the suggestion of the head of the Strategic Technologies Development Center, by this order, I appoint him as the secretary for the development of connectivity and communication technologies headquarters.

Based on this ruling, Karbasi has been assigned to "observe and identify the capacities and challenges of technology development inside the country and its place in the future in interaction with various players in this field and by using the results of technology foresight studies with the aim of determining the work priorities of the headquarters and participation to be active in developing the technology development roadmap with the aim of improving all functional aspects of the technology innovation system.

"Development of priority emerging and transformative technologies in order to respond to the future needs of the country by making maximum use of all the internal capacity of the innovation ecosystem and considering the capacity of international technological cooperation", "Targeted support for the development of research infrastructure and development of priority technologies by identifying and networking laboratory infrastructures ", "Manufacturing and supplying equipment and planning materials and implementing related measures to eliminate deficiencies and support the acceleration programs of specialized innovation centers and other entrepreneurial activities required for the development of technology in the country" are other missions of Karbasi at the helm of the headquarters of the development of connectivity and communication technologies.

According to this decree, "holding events and implementing effective promotion activities with the aim of networking among different players in this field and creating legitimacy in policy-making institutions in order to adopt appropriate policies for the development of technology in the country" and "enhancing the necessary human capacities and making proper use of scientific elites and leaders" technology to develop priority technologies" should also be realized.

The connectivity and communication technology development headquarters are obliged to "market priority products and technological achievements according to the needs in different stages of technology development" and "attract maximum participation in the implementation of national and multi-field programs in cooperation with other technology development headquarters".

Mohammad Karbasi is a doctorate in electrical engineering (communication system) of Sharif University of Technology and a member of the faculty and assistant professor of the faculty of electrical engineering of this university, and has more than 15 years of scientific, research and industrial project management experience in the field of telecommunications and signal processing.
